Relocation of the livestock yard & office as well as construction of a new single span shed. Diversion of existing utilities & new underground services.Construction of a new pavement, a livestock holding area, relocating key utilities, including the international terminal power center & truck dock. Relocating the operations control centre & emergency operations center. Carrying out ground, services, & technical investigations.

WP2 package includes demolition of 4200 SM existing pavement, kerbs and channel, 360m of stormwater, 114m of wastewater and 90m of watermain pipe works, including manholes, cesspits, sumps, ducting for lighting & security, new 5300 SM flexible & rigid pavement, new traffic barriers, islands, fencing, gates, footpaths and road furniture, civil enabling works, demolition of existing structures, diversion of services, new western truck dock, the western side of the JBA Hall, level 1 screening area and the fitout of the ground floor mezzanine.600 foundation piles will support the 28m high building & 240m long aircraft pier.

The project includes dance and drama studios, flexible lecture theatre, social work suites, a native plant roof garden, staff and postgraduate research offices & archaeology wet labs. Project scope also includes structural strengthening, complete replacement of the external envelope, fitout & replacement of building services. New 3 level entry building to the Symonds Street frontage, covered by a new atrium over the existing plaza on L4. The level below the podium (L3) comprising of existing lecture theatre & support facilities will be refreshed & repurposed.
